Who We Are
This website, heritagehomemi.com, is operated by Heritage Home Construction (“Heritage Home,” “we,” “us”), a residential design-build remodeling company based in Dearborn, Michigan. We serve homeowners in Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, and the greater Detroit area, with a focus on kitchens, bathrooms, and age-in-place renovations.
This policy explains what we collect through this website and related early conversations with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you become a client, your written agreements with us also apply, and they may add details about how we handle information for your project.

Information We Collect
Information you give us
When you complete the Discovery Call form on our Schedule a Call page, you may give us:
- Your name and email address (required)
- Your phone number
- Your city or neighborhood
- How you prefer to be contacted (email, phone call, or text message)
- The type of project you are considering
- Details about your project, your desired timeline, and your approximate budget range
Please do not include sensitive information in the form, such as Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, or health details. If you want us to know about accessibility or mobility needs so we can plan an age-in-place project well, you can say so in general terms. We will treat anything you share with care, and you can also wait and discuss it with us directly.
If you email or call us instead, we collect whatever you choose to tell us.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, ours receives certain technical information when you visit, including your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the date and time, and the website that referred you. This appears in our hosting provider’s server logs and in the visitor statistics described below. Your IP address can reveal your approximate location, such as your city, but not your street address.
Information we collect during the remodeling process
If you move forward past the website, we will collect more information in person and in writing, such as your home address, measurements, and photographs and notes from an in-home consultation, plans and selections, and information needed for contracts and payments. This happens outside the website and is covered by your agreements with us and by this policy’s sections on use, sharing, security, and your choices. We do not collect payment information through this website.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule and hold your discovery call
- To follow up about your project, including by the contact method you choose
- To prepare for a consultation and, if you hire us, to deliver your project
- To keep this website secure, prevent abuse, fix problems, and understand in general terms how visitors use it
- To keep records we need for legal, tax, insurance, and licensing purposes
- To comply with the law and protect our rights
We do not use your inquiry to build advertising profiles, and we do not add you to a marketing email list without your agreement.
How Your Form Submission Is Stored
When you submit the Discovery Call form, two things happen. Your submission is saved in the database behind our website, which is hosted by Bluehost in the United States. A copy is also emailed to our business inbox at info@heritagehomemi.com, which runs on Google Workspace. Only people at Heritage Home who need it to respond to you, and the service providers who run these systems for us, can access it.
Services and Providers That Handle Information
We use the following service providers. They process information only as needed to provide their services to us or, in the case of font and image resources, to deliver this site to your browser.
- Bluehost hosts our website and database in the United States and keeps standard server logs.
- Google Workspace (Gmail) delivers and stores our business email, including the copies of your form submissions.
- Jetpack by Automattic provides several features on our site: visitor statistics (Jetpack Stats), faster image delivery (images load from Automattic servers at wp.com addresses), and security tools such as login protection, activity logs, and backups. Jetpack Stats records information such as pages viewed, referring sites, device and browser type, and approximate location based on IP address. Backups may include copies of our database, including form submissions. Automattic describes its practices at automattic.com/privacy.
- Google Fonts loads our typefaces and icons from Google’s servers.
- Cloudflare Turnstile protects our Discovery Call form from spam and automated abuse. When you view or submit the form, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address, browser characteristics, and how the page is used to tell people apart from bots. It does not ask you to solve puzzles in most cases. Cloudflare describes its practices at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Because your browser connects directly to Google, Automattic, and Cloudflare to load these resources, those providers receive your IP address and basic browser information, and they handle it under their own privacy policies. We do not control that processing.
If you become a client, we also share information only as needed to complete your project:
- Trade partners and subcontractors: project details such as the site address, scope of work, and access instructions go to the plumbers, electricians, tile setters, and other trades working on your home. They receive only what they need to do their work.
- Project management software: we may use construction management software to keep contracts, schedules, and project communications in one place. Your name, contact details, and project information may be stored there.
- Permitting authorities: permit applications submitted to local building departments may include your property address and project scope.
- Payment and financing partners: if you pay us or choose financing for your project, the payment processor or lender you use handles that information under its own policies. We do not take payments through this website.
- Professional advisers: accountants, attorneys, and insurers, as reasonably needed.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our website does not set cookies when you first visit. Website administrators who log in may receive functional cookies from WordPress and Jetpack so the login works and stays secure. Outside providers listed above may use technical identifiers or logs when delivering their resources.
We do not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or Google Analytics. If we add analytics or similar tools in the future, we will update this policy first or at the same time and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing for a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to opt you out of on this site. We honor such signals in spirit, and if we ever change our practices, we will respect them as the law requires. You can also use your browser’s privacy settings or extensions to limit what third-party resources can see.
We Do Not Sell Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not use it for targeted advertising across other companies’ sites or apps.
Photos of Your Home and Our Project Photos
During an in-home consultation and throughout a project, we may take measurements and photographs of your home to design and build your project and to document our work. We use those photos for your project, and we keep them in our project records.
We are proud of our work and would like to show it. We will use photos of your completed project in our portfolio, on our website, or on social media only with your permission, which we ask for in writing. When we do, we will leave out your name, street address, and other identifying details, and we will avoid photographing documents, mail, family photos, and other personal items. You can say no, and you can withdraw permission later. We will stop using the photos going forward, though we cannot recall copies already published or shared by others.
Calls, Emails, and Text Messages
If you choose “Text Message” or “Phone Call” as your preferred contact method and provide your mobile number, you are asking us to contact you that way about your inquiry. Specifically:
- We will use text messages to respond to your inquiry, schedule or confirm calls and appointments, and, if you become a client, coordinate your project.
- We will not send promotional or marketing text messages unless you have separately agreed to receive them in writing.
- Message and data rates from your carrier may apply, and message frequency varies with the conversation.
- Consent to texting is not required to receive a quote, to hire us, or to buy anything from us. You can choose email or phone instead.
- You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, or by telling us by email or phone. We may send one final message confirming your request.
- We do not sell or share mobile numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.
Our email practices follow the federal CAN-SPAM Act. Emails we send about your inquiry or your project are about that relationship. If we ever send promotional emails, we will identify them clearly, include our mailing address, and give you a simple way to unsubscribe, which we will honor promptly.
How Long We Keep Information
- Inquiries that do not become projects: we keep your form submission and related messages for up to 24 months after our last contact, and then delete them. You may ask us to delete them sooner.
- Clients: we keep contracts, plans, project photos, warranty records, and related financial and correspondence records for as long as needed to serve you, honor warranties, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, and insurance requirements. In general, that means the length of any warranty period plus the time Michigan law allows for legal claims.
- Website logs and statistics: these are kept for the periods set by our hosting provider and Automattic, which are generally limited.
- Backups: deleted information may remain in backups for a limited time before they are overwritten.
We may keep information longer where the law requires it or where it is needed for a legal claim.
How We Protect Information
We use reasonable safeguards for a business our size. These include a secure (HTTPS) connection for this website, login protection and activity monitoring through Jetpack, regular backups, access limited to the people who need it, and established providers for hosting and email. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive financial or identity information through the website form or ordinary email.
If we learn of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as Michigan and federal law require.
Your Choices and Rights
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your information, subject to the exceptions in this policy and the law; and
- stop contacting you by a given method, or at all; and
- withdraw any consent you have given us, such as for text messages or for using your project photos.
To make a request, email info@heritagehomemi.com or call us at (313) 583-7373. We may need to confirm your identity first, such as by replying from the email address you used with us. We aim to respond within 30 days. If we cannot fully honor a request, for example because we must keep a contract record, we will tell you why.
Michigan does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy statute that applies to a business of our size, and we are not subject to the privacy laws of states that have them based on our size and the volume of data we handle. We offer these rights voluntarily because we think you should have them. If you live in another state with specific privacy rights and believe they apply to you, contact us and we will review your request in good faith.
You may also decline to use our form and contact us by phone or email, or use your browser settings to block third-party resources, though some parts of the site may then look or work differently.
Children’s Privacy
This website is for adults who own or manage homes. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to Other Sites
Our website links to our Instagram page (instagram.com/heritagehomemi). We do not embed Instagram content on our pages, but if you follow the link you will leave our site, and Instagram’s own privacy policy and settings will apply. We are not responsible for the practices of other sites.
Client Portal and Project Agreements
We may offer a secure client portal for active projects. Portal use, and the information you share with us as a client, are covered by your written agreements with us, and we will add any further details to this policy or to the portal’s own terms before it is available. We handle project information, including pre-construction agreement materials, with the same care described in this policy.
Business Changes and Legal Requests
If Heritage Home is ever sold, merged, or reorganized, your information may transfer to the new owner, who would be expected to honor this policy. We may also disclose information when required by law, such as in response to a valid court order, or when needed to protect safety, prevent fraud, or establish or defend legal claims.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our website, services, or the law changes. We will post the new version here and change the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make it more prominent on the site. Please check back from time to time.
